Class Dress Code for Non-Competitive Classes:

Tap/Ballet Combo
Itty Bitty, Pre-Dance I & Pre-Dance II Leotard and tights of any color. Skirts or dance shorts are allowed (unless they become a distraction to the student). Black patent leather tap shoes and pink leather ballet shoes. Hair should be pulled up out of the face. Ballet/Tumble Leotard and tights of any color. Tights should be convertible. Dance Shorts or skirts are allowed. Pink Ballet shoes. Hair should be pulled up out of the face. Jazz/Tumble Combo Leotard of any color. Tights are not recommended since they will be tumbling. Dance shorts are allowed over leotards. Dance shoes are not required for this class. Hair should be pulled up out of the face. Ballet/Lyrical Combo 5-7 year olds Leotard and convertible or footed tights of any color. Dance shorts or skirts are allowed. Students in the 5-7 year old classes will not use lyrical shoes and will need pink ballet shoes only. Hair should be pulled back out of the face. 7-9 year olds Leotard and convertible tights of any color. Dance shorts or skirts are allowed. Students in 7-9 year old class will need to purchase both pink ballet shoes and a pair of half soles in the color that most closely blends with their skin. We can assist you with sizing these at the studio store. Hair should be pulled back out of the face. Tap/Jazz Combo Classes Leotard and tights of any color. Leotards can be skirted. Bra tops, fitted dance shorts, jazz pants, and leggings also allowed. Black patent leather tap shoes for 5-7 year old class. Black jazz tap shoes (lace up) for all 7-10 year old classes and up. All ages will also need black jazz shoes. No t-shirts or regular street clothing. Hair should be pulled up out of the face. Hip Hop/Tumble Combo Any fitted dance or cheer shorts, with leotard, fitted dance top or fitted tank top. Sneakers/Tennis Shoes for example (Vans, Converse, Nike or similar styles). These should be shoes that are dedicated to class and are not worn outside, so that dirt, rocks, and other debris are not brought onto the dance surface. Hair should be pulled back out of the face. Boys Dress will depend on type of dance being studied, please check with teacher. No baggy clothes permitted for ballet, jazz, and lyrical/contemporary. In hip hop boys dress is the same as listed for hip hop. |
Tap

Bra tops, fitted shorts, jazz pants, and leggings also allowed. Black jazz shoes. Hair should be pulled up out of the face. Ballet Black leotards and pink footed or convertible tights. Tights should be worn on the feet for ballet class, not rolled up. Pink leather or canvas ballet shoes. Leather will be needed for performances. Students age 10 and up should have split sole shoes. Hair should be pulled up in a bun for ballet class. No t-shirts or tank tops allowed. Hip Hop Sweatpants, t-shirts, and tank tops are preferred. Leotard and tights can be worn if needed due to back to back classes, but are not necessary. Sneakers/Tennis Shoes for example (Vans, Converse, Nike or similar styles). These should be shoes that are dedicated to class and are not worn outside, so that dirt, rocks, and other debris are not brought onto the dance surface. Hair should be pulled back out of the face. Lyrical/Contemporary Leotard of any color and style. Bra tops, fitted dance shorts, and leggings also allowed. Convertible or footless tights of any color. Students will use Capezio Half Sole shoes in the color that most closely blends with their skin. We can assist you with sizing these at the studio store. Hair should be pulled up out of the face. Musical Theater Leotard and tights of any color. Bra tops, fitted dance shorts, jazz pants, and leggings also allowed. Black jazz shoes. Hair should be pulled up out of the face. Acro/Tumble Leotard or fitted tank with cheerleading shorts or dance shorts. No tights unless a student has back to back classes with no time/help to change. If a student must wear tights, they must wear footless or convertible tights. Students may also wear a sports bra top and shorts. Students in tumbling will go barefoot. Hair should be pulled up out of the face. |
*Jewelry should not be worn to any class for safety reasons. Students will be asked to remove necklaces, large earrings, and bracelets. All watches and fitbits must be removed prior to starting class.
